January 2014

At exactly 6 months, Maci is army crawling ALL over the place! She doesn't like food. Weve tried eating a few different foods and they haven't gone over well...like she actually gagged and threw up. She didn't like food that much! Tonight is her first night in her crib:( I'm sad about this, but after rolling off our bed last night I realize it's probably a good time to make the transition. I'm thinking we will get Maci's ears pierced this week. It's something we didn't do with Liv and I wish I had.

Cece just got invited to join the advanced level 2 class. She will move into the Monday, 3 hour long class next month. It will be a new experience for her, but a few of her friends are joining her so she is excited. Cece is getting braces next week. The orthodontist is thinking for this first round she will only need them 9 or 10 months. Then in a few years when all of her adult teeth come down, she will have another round of braces for another 9 or 10 months. She is excited but scared to be in pain.

Liv had an eye infection last month which left her constantly rubbing her eyes. We went to see Dr. Troia who wanted her to come back a few weeks later when her eyes were healed. Well, it turns out Liv is far sighted and needs glasses. We pretty much expected at some point she would. Poor eye sight is hereditary and we both wear corrective lenses/contacts. Now were just working on finding a cute pair, somewhere within network preferably. I'm just surprised that in 2014 it is still hard to find cute itty bitty pediatric glasses. Liv is working on memorizing her ABC's and can count to 5 after which she loves to give you a high five! Colors are hit and miss still. She wants to do everything by herself and throws a tantrum if I try to help her with something and she doesn't want me to. Were starting to talk about preschools:)  My baby isn't a baby anymore

After learning terrible information about GMOs we are trying to make the transition to all organic foods. Were done with milk all together and have switched to Almond Milk only. The transition went a lot smoother than I anticipated.

I'm still working on trying to stick with the gym routine but it's hard when your whole house is sick for weeks straight...I'm still taking antibiotics for a sinus infection and ear infection. The whole house has had a nasty cold, prior to that it was Maci with a GI virus and Liv before that. So much puke in our house! Liv was only sick for a few hours when it hit her, but when Maci got sick she was throwing up EVERYTHING she took in for almost 48 hours. Poor kid was on the verge of dehydration but she's a trooper.

Working on planning our San Antonio trip in March. Thinking about working on the basement a little...plumbing next. Have to have a shower put in first.
