I can't believe this school year has flown by so stinkin fast! I think Cecelia has 12 days left of school! I can't wait for laxy sleep in days, stay up late nights, don't care how late you eat ice cream in the evening or how late you stay out jumping on the trampoline days:) I have some of the best memories of being a kid for me occured during the summer months. Yeah we got Cecelia a trampoling with a net enclosure. Were are the "Best Parents EVER"! Gymnastics wrapped up for the year. Cecelia didn't pass into the next level but she made great progress. The next level up is advanced and I just can't imagine a 7 yr old in the advanced class just yet. Swimming testing was last week and she did pass into the next level. She is part fish, I swear!!! For Girl Scouts last week we went to the Kroc Center so the girls could get water safety lessons from a life guard and they could swim for awhile. I brought Liv and it turns out she is part fish too because she loved the water! I can't wait to take her back. The water is heated to a perfect temperature and there was literally no one other than us there swimming. I'm sure it will be a different story once school is out however.
Little Liv is walking around furniture more and more every day, she is walking with her walker back and forth across the living room but still needs help turning around when she runs into furniture she backs up a few inches and then rams it again (as if the oversized ottoman or metal baby gate is going to move out of the way) LOL. She is babbling more and saying baba and I've now heard her say mama twice. She is also waving. Most recently Aaron taught her to give high fives. Oh my goodness! It's A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E! She still has no teeth and some days she is so fussy that I swear she must be getting ready to pop one through but it never happens. Still breastfeeding. Giving her the very occasional formula bottle from the cans of free samples you get in the mail when you have a baby of course. I cringe when I think about having to buy those cans...$15-$22? It should be a crime to charge that much to feed a baby!!!

Quick update
Liv is crawling...and really starting to cruise! I'm busy trying to baby proof. At least I will be on my next 5 days off that is. She's finally eating solids, well, anything that is soft enough for her to mush between her gums. Favorites: Bananas, avocados, breads and muffins, blueberries, pears. She is just one adorable kiddo!
Cecelia just had spring conferences. She excelling in almost every subject. The only problem we have now is that she is too advanced, meaning they will have to try and figure out what class to put her in next year and with whom since she will need to be in a special advanced reading group. I can't believe that I have such a smart child! I know that every parent thinks their kid is a genius, but conference after conference, her teachers tell me how advanced she is:) They are planning on recommending her to the gifted and talented program next year since you have to be in 3rd grade to be accepted. This is a great opportunity for her to get a chance to do really fun, after school and summer learning programs. Where she will be challenged because unfortunately for her, 3rd grade will be lots of repetition of skills and subject matter that she has already mastered. I've got to come up with some summer curriculum for Cece and Kiley for the summer:)
I'm going supplemental! No more full time overnights for me! Woooohoooo!!! I'll be working just 1-2 days a week, floating to other floors and no benefits but that means more pay and I would do almost anything to work even just 1 day less a week and be able to spend that much more time at home with my family!
Aaron is getting a promotion, and they have so many kids on the program that they will be hiring another full time staff member which means that Aaron's hours and/or days off might just get better. He really loves his job and I'm so happy that he is happy to go to work everyday.
Our white vinyl privacy fence is going to be put up at the end of the month. Luckily, our neighbors put theirs up a few weeks ago so we are only having to do the other 3 sides, which saved us about $1000. I'm so excited because that means next we can get the kids a trampoline. I'm just as excited! Our neighbors are going to think I'm crazy because I will totally get out there and jump...probably a good workout;)

Dad
Aaron insisted I mark this milestone, right now. Liv just said "Dad", she's been babbling dadadadadad for a few weeks but she was seriously just sitting on the floor looking up at him and he was trying to get her to start babbling and she surpassed what he was asking for. She is also on the verge of crawling. She's been going backwards for a few weeks and she certainly figures out how to get around but now she is on her knees, rocking back and forth and is just about to figure out how to put it all together:)

Liv's 6 month checkup was today. I got to go because I got staff reduced all weekend at work so I was bright eyed and bushy tailed for her 1:30 p.m. appointment:) The verdict: She is in the 98th percentile for height at 27 inches and the 37th percentile for weight, at 15.7 lbs. She is getting over her first cold and her appetite has been decreased over the past week so her true weight is probably a little higher. Little booger is still not eating solids as well as I would like. I'm trying. I just need to find something she loves and get her to enjoy it so she will try other stuff. Today we tried blueberry yogurt and peach puffs. Both of which she spit out and acted like she was being gagged with:(
We got about 8 inches or so of snow over the weekend and Cecelia loves our backyard because as she found we have a pretty good hill for sledding on the garage side of our house. The neighbor kids and her enjoyed a few hours of sledding and I enjoyed watching her have fun:)
This week I'm contemplating going back to school for my masters degree. Yikes!!!

I know I definitely need to add some pictures to this blog. It's just that I usually update the blog from work (working overnights can get quite boring) and I obviously don't have access to my pictures from my work computer:(
Liv spend the today babbling "dadadadadadad". Aaron couldn't be happier. But I swear she's been screaming "MOOOOOOOOOOM" since she was born! You can't stop this rolling girl. Not only is she rolling ALL over the place she can turn herself around and she "crawls" backwards. Which is actually her attempting to get on her knees and sliding backwards a few inches. Too cute! She officially got her first cold. Running nose, cough and all. Very sad for her because I know exactly how she feels...Cecelia gave me the cold.
Speaking of Cecelia. That little girl is growing up so fast! We spent some time over the last 2 weeks working on her final presentation for 2nd grade. In social studies, they are learning about government. So for their presentations, they had to make a poster and speech (note cards required), describing why they would be a great mayor of Papillion. And if elected, what changes they would like to see.
Cecelia said she would make a great mayor because:
1.)She gets good grades, and helps her classmates (she's a peer coach)
and
2.) Through Girl Scouts she volunteers for community organizations like the Salvation Army (bell ringing this year on the coldest day in November), Safe Haven (making Halloween candy buckets for the kids who couldn't go trick-or-treating because for whatever reason it wasn't safe for them to do so), and for doing canned food drives for donations.
She said that if voted Mayor of Papillion she would:
1.) Build a new swimming pool that would have free admission because Papio doesn't have enough pools and the ones it does have are too crowded (ever been to Papio Bay? Enough said)
and
2.) Make the school days longer but have a shorter school year. This way they wouldn't be rushed during the day to get everything done, and the kids could enjoy a longer summer. A win-win for teachers and students:)
To top it off, we helped her make "Campaign buttons". Hobby Lobby has just about anything you can think of creating. Then we took a picture from the newspaper of President Obama giving a speech and cut a picture of her head out and glued it to Obama's body and glued that to her poster board. Hilarious!
Aaron and I, under my urge, have decided to go on a money diet. I just feel like since we decided to buy a house, our wallets have been hemorrhaging cash. We make enough money to have a good savings and little debt and well, right now we just have the opposite. Little savings and a good amount of debt. I would eventually like to cut down to just 2 days a week when I get pregnant with the next baby and, by eventually, I mean before this next winter. So if that means that I need to price match and pack a lunch for work, I'm willing to do it:)

Cecelia is in brownies this year and is selling cookies, well, actually it seems more like I'm selling cookies! Love them but can't wait to not have them staring back at me begging to be eaten. It is pretty cute to watch Cece selling the cookies and collecting money for them. Good life lessons I suppose.
Liv is rolling around all over the place. You can't leave for more than a moment without her rolling from her back onto her tummy. She gets her arm out just fine from underneath of herself too. She's beginning to learn to sit up with minimal assistance at times but she leans so far forward that it just looks uncomfortable. She continues to sleep through the night for Aaron. She sleeps from about 8-11 and wakes up for a bottle and then sleeps till 8:00 A.M. when I get home from work. On my 4 nights off a week she isn't sleeping throughout the night for me but since we co-sleep I barely open 1 eyeball to nurse her and I'm back asleep. Besides that she wakes up so few and far between even when I am home. I am still getting great sleep.
We continue to add items to the house to decorate it and I love it. It's fun trying to hunt for the perfect items at the best price. Aaron and I are going on a date to dinner in mid-town crossing and then to see Blue Man Group at the Orpheum. I'm excited to get out and have an adult night. And maybe just 1 drink:)
