Well the weekly ob visits have started. I'm ambivilant about these. On the one hand I was dying to know if I had made any progress yet, and on the other hand, it's never fun to get checked. I am dilated to only 2 but I am 50-60% effaced, baby's head is down, but I'm still at -2 station. Some progress. I just imagined this whole pregnancy, that I would go into labor early. After this appointment I have come to the conclusion that I may go closer to 39-40 weeks...and have to work at getting this kid out. She apparently feels like a pretty good sized baby and based on my last ultrasound, plus the Doctors experience at feeling babies inside the womb, she has stated that we are looking at a 7-8 lb baby. I'm excited to meet this little princess but also am realizing that they are ALOT easier to take care of inside the womb than when they come out. It's all in God's hands:) Everything always works out just the way it is supposed to.

36 weeks

36 weeks pregnant and so ready to be done. I love the angle for the picture...it's taken by my little 46 inch photographer, i.e. Cecelia. I figured that I should get this picture since I'm not really sure how much longer I'll make it. Someone once told me that you will have your baby when you can't stand to be pregnant any longer...well that day is coming very quickly. My hips hurt so bad from her head being engaged and I feel like an old person...I walk very slowly and it takes me forever to get up without help:(
On a lighter note, we have been enjoying this past week of Kiley being home. Lots of swimming. Which is great because I realized that my halter top style bathing suit was going to give me terrible tan lines for Rachel's wedding that I'm in, in September. I had to buy a bandeau style top and try to get rid of my tan lines before I have this kiddo because I know I won't be making it to the pool with the rest of the family much after the baby comes:( Aaron is planning to take at least 2 weeks off of work(he has a ridiculous amount of sick, comp, and personal time that he might as well use), so we plan on me staying at home with the baby and him taking the older girls out of the house and entertaining them so they don't have to be cooped up in the house.

The waddle
Yep, I officially waddle now. The baby not only flipped out of the breach position and into vertex but she also "dropped" or became engaged in my pelvis. Ouch!!! Every single step hurts. Apparently, this can happen weeks before you actually give birth:( Which means at this point it could be another month for me!!! Next week I start seeing my doctor weekly and getting checked. I am anxious to find out if all these aches and pains and discomforts from contractions are doing any dilating and effacing. I am miserable:(((( I don't remember waddling with Cecelia at all...

Cece at the pool. Her favorite place to be after all!!! She could swim all day every day if we let her. She is such a water goddess! Hopefully, this baby likes the water too, since we love spending time hanging out by the pool during the summer. Poor Kiley is so anxious to get here and be able to swim. Last time I talked to her she said that she hadn't been to the pool yet this summer:( Poor kiddo! Cecelia will be happy to have a playmate at the pool too. At the last OB appointment on Tuesday we found out that the baby has flipped and is head down! Yay!!!! Apparently, the babe is very unlikely to flip back around at this point. I'm so happy that a C-section is not immanent at this point! We got the new car seat and stroller delivered yesterday. Funny how the little things in life make me soooo happy. Aaron was working so I put it together myself....o.k. I took it out of the package and put the wheels on it. Not too difficult.

Summer Time Fun
Lots of Pictures. There are a few from my baby shower. Which was amazing! We are so blessed to have so many family members and friends who love us dearly. We are completely set for this little babe...as long as she comes out a girl still...I had a bad dream the other night that she actually came out to be a he! I can't wait for the baby to get here! I want to play dress up with her and take lots of pictures. Two things that Cecelia rarely lets me do anymore. She barely lets me help her pick out an outfit and when we try to snap a picture of her she gets annoyed because we are interrupting whatever fun activity she is doing. The next few pictures are from Fathers day. After taking Aaron to lunch and then to get his gift he had to go to work so we went over to Steph's house for their annual fathers day BBQ. We love their house. Steph's parents house has been like my second home since Jr. High. And her parents have always been so good to me. I love going over to the Nobb's house, and so does Cece...particularly because they have a pool and always yummy treats! One picture is of Cecelia playing squirt ball, Cecelia at a storm chasers game at Werner Park (conveniently located right down the road from our new home!!!). And then finally, the last picture (or in blog order, I don't know why it uploads in the exact opposite order I save it as: the first picture) is of Cecelia today at Halleck park. She found a quiet little spot and Aaron snapped a picture from the distance. So precious!

33 weeks prego
Ugh:( Where do I begin? I am so uncomfortable these days. Today I had another ultrasound to check on baby's measurements, and this little butterball officially weighs more now than Cecelia did when she was born! Cecelia weighed in at 4 lbs, 4 oz. at birth and this little peanut is now 4 lbs, 6 oz. We got a few 3D pics of her today and she looks like a little chunk in her face, poor kiddo, she also looks like she has a very swollen nose and mouth (but apparently, they all look like that...must be from being in the water). The only bad news is that this babe is in the breach position. She still has a few weeks to flip around but I'm worried that she won't. At 36 weeks we will check to see if she has flipped into vertex and if she hasn't yet we then have to talk about them doing an aversion under anesthesia or scheduling a C-section! Yikes! I pray this doesn't happen. I Really don't want to have a C-section. My legs are swollen up to my knees...specifically, I have 2+-3+ pitting edema. I can't wait to have this weekend off because I am going to put my feet up and relax. I need it badly! We headed down to Kansas City last weekend for Rachel's bachelorette party. It was fun, but the weather didn't cooperate as much as we would have liked, and we walked around the Plaza shopping and I probably should have stayed by the pool instead because my poor legs are paying for it now.
We still have yet to agree on a name. Aaron has picked out 2 that I like and I have a name picked out that I love but Aaron doesn't love it. Since we can't agree, I'm just going to hold our until I get my way...or at least try to. I doubt that will happen but wishful thinking!
Baby shower on Saturday!!! Yay! I'm excited because I've been nesting like crazy and can't wait to find out what else we need to buy for the baby to finish preparing. Plus, I can't wait for all they yummy food my sisters are planning on making:)
Rachel took Cece shopping early for her birthday the other day. I stayed at home and nested for the baby, organizing clothes, setting up the bassinet, swing, changing table, etc. I told Rachel to not let Cecelia swindle her into more than 1 outfit. After I finished nesting the girls weren't' back from their shopping yet, so I jumped in the shower, when I got out of the shower I was surprised to walk into the dining room to find my whole kitchen table covered with new clothes...the majority of them from Justice. Cecelia loves Justice but it is usually pretty expensive and I try to steer her towards other stores for the sake of my pocket book. Rachel promised me everything was on sale and that Cecelia did not in fact, talk her into buying her anything she didn't want to buy her. Cecelia adores Rachel and asked me the other day if Rachel and Stephanie and Karissa were really her aunts ( they aren't...they are my best friends and are practically like sisters). When I tried explaining this to Cecelia she came up with the term frauntie (friend + auntie). Sounds good to me my cute little clever pumpkin!
Cecelia has been enjoying her summer break so far and can't wait to have Kiley home with us too. We have fun summer days planned for the girls and Cecelia knows we try to hold off on doing the really fun stuff until Kiley gets here in the summer because we don't want Kiley to miss out on anything.
